The First Freedom Center (Center) values the contributions of all donors in furtherance of its mission to advance the fundamental human rights of freedom of religion and freedom of conscience. It appreciates the opportunity to offer educational support to students, educators, businesses, organizations and families, and it recognizes those on its mailing and email list who wish to stay apprised of the Center's activities. To protect the privacy of its stakeholders, the First Freedom Center and www.firstfreedom.org maintains the following policies:
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
- The First Freedom Center is the sole owner of the information that you provide.
- The Center also offers donors the option to be recognized anonymously.
- The Center does not trade, sell, rent or distribute your personal information to any other organization or individual.
Your Access to and Control over Your Information
- The Center uses your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted it.
- Unless you request otherwise, the Center may contact you in the future to inform you of upcoming events, educational programs, classroom materials, donor opportunities, changes to its privacy policy, etc.
- You may request to not receive emailed updates and other communications at any time by contacting: caff@firstfreedom.org or 804-643-1786.
- You may request to not receive all or specific mailings, such as solicitations, invitations or newsletters, at any time by contacting: caff@firstfreedom.org or 804-643-1786.
- You may change, correct or delete any data that the Center has on you by contacting: caff@firstfreedom.org or 804-643-1786.
- NOTE: The First Freedom Center makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of its donor database.
Security
- The Center takes precautions to protect your information both online and offline.
- Payment data collected through the Center's website, www.firstfreedom.org, is protected from potential threats, both virtual and physical, through SSL encryption and other means utilizing the latest industry standards.
- Personal information stored in the Center's database is protected with a secured login with authentication, assignment of a unique ID to each person with computer access, regular pass code changes, and user IDs are deactivated or terminated, as needed.
- As the Center uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, it also protects your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Likewise, the computers/servers in which the Center stores personally-identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
